P.O.T was formed by John Garnache when he moved to Eugene from the East Bay Area of Oakland and brought with him the original Tower of Power horn charts that he received from his buddies in that band. With the help of Tim McLauglin (Eleven Eyes)  and Mike McCarthy ( The Essentials)  Power of Tower was born!  P.O.T. has grown to 13 pieces and brings the energy and funk and soul and groove and love that Tower of Power has been doing for 50 years!  It is our honor and pledge to keep this music alive and funky!
